EDITH L. COPENHAVER, age 70, of Joppa, MD, died on June 2, 2006 at the Hospice of Baltimore-Gilchrist Center for Hospice Care in Towson, MD.
Born in Allegany, MD, she was the daughter of the late John David and Eleanor Niner Pape. She was the wife of the late John David Copenhaver, Sr.
She was a homemaker. Her family said that she enjoyed spending time with her family, flowers and fishponds.
Mrs. Copenhaver is survived by three sons, John D. Copenhaver, Jr., of Joppa, MD, Bradley A. Copenhaver of Wauwatasa, WI and Harvey N. Hileman of Middle River, MD; one daughter, Deborah M. Leftwich of North East, MD; three brothers, Ralph Pape of Eckhart, MD, Thomas Pape of Abingdon, MD and Patrick Pape of Florida; one sister, Hulda Lambert of Dundalk, MD; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be held on Wednesday, June 7, 2006 at the McComas Funeral Home, P.A. in Abingdon at 11 AM with Deacon Vic Petrosino officiating. Interment will be in Holly Hill Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be John D. Copenhaver, Jr., Trent E. Arledge, Gary W. Hitch, Chris Scism, Brian Bennett, and Joe Pape.
